Showbox is not working and fans of the streaming app are concerned it has shut down

The Showbox app is not working and users are getting pretty frustrated with the whole situation.

The app streams TV shows and movies but it is not doing so right now, with people unable to get onto it to do the streaming they so desire.

Most people are seeing a message which reads: 'Connection error. Check your internet connection!' and there is no option to do much else.

Some have suggested that the app could be gone forever, but that is yet to be confirmed and we don't know how permanent the problem is right now.

According to the Independent, the app is still accessible through the Showbox website where you can download an apk file for Android phones or PC.

However, the app will not work once the downloaded file is removed.

It also appears that deleting and then re-downloading the app will not help.

MovieBox, a similar streaming website was shut down earlier this week, leading to many believing it could also be the end for Showbox.
